A network ban (specifically called k:line, z:line, or g:line) prevents you, your IP address, your internet provider, or even your country from accessing the network. They are used as a last resort by the network staff in order to enforce the network rules or to protect the network from attacks. Bans can either be limited or indefinite, and a reason is always added to bans that are not made during a network attack.
